Jesus taught his disciples that "whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant," explaining that he himself "did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many." (Matt 20:26-28) When we serve one another, we evidence that the love of God is working in our lives and causing us to change. At Christ Community Church, we are committed to service through the ministries we support and the opportunities provided for service in the community around us.
Jesus commanded his followers to "go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Matt. 28:19) Christ Community Church is committed to demonstrating within a broken society that a different order is possible - one characterized by peace instead of violence, justice instead of abuse, and love instead of self-seeking.
